When Joey passed away in August of 1996, we decided to form Joey's Angels in his memory to help raise money for the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF). Since Joey was truly an Angel, the name was a natural, and with your help and support, hopefully a cure can be found for this dreaded disease which has robbed us, and so many others of beloved family members and friends.

Angels In The Fairway

Our primary fundraising event is Angels In The Fairway, held at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, WI, just North of Chicago. Each year, this event has gotten bigger and bigger, exceeding the previous year in both money raised and attendance. The 2007 event – our 11th Anniversary - continued this trend by raising over $120,000. For more information, click on the link at the top of the page, or here.

Who We Benefit

Joey's Angels raises money for the Leukemia Research Foundation. The LRF was established in 1946 to raise much-needed funds for research and is made up of more than 2000 volunteers in 24 local chapters who have joined together to raise funds in the fight against leukemia.

Where Funds Go

Each year, LRF uses the money generated by its chapters to provide educational programs to leukemia and lymphoma patients and families, and to award grants and fellowships to those working in the most promising areas of leukemia and lymphoma research. To date, LRF has raised nearly $40 million in pursuit of its mission.
